Create your wallet

Enter an invite code, set a password, write down your recovery phrase, and verify.

This is a one-time setup that produces the keys controlling your assets on Arkena. Set aside about five minutes, a quiet room, and a piece of paper. Don't rush this — the recovery phrase you write down here is the only way to get your wallet back if you lose this device.

  1. Enter your invite code

    Arkena onboards new wallets through invite codes. Paste your 8-character code into the field and click Continue. Codes are single-use — once yours is consumed, the wallet remembers and never asks for it again.

  2. Set a password for this device

    The password protects the wallet on this browser only. It encrypts your keys at rest so someone with physical access to your machine still can't open the wallet without it.

    Pick something you'll remember on a long flight without WiFi. If you forget it, you can recover with your phrase — but you can't reset it.

  3. Reveal your recovery phrase

    The wallet generates a 24-word recovery phrase (BIP-39). These 24 words — in this order — are the wallet. Anyone who has them controls every asset in it.

    Anyone with this phrase can drain your wallet. Store it offline.

  4. Verify the phrase

    The wallet quizzes you on a few of the 24 words at random positions. If you can't pass, go back and re-record the phrase — better to catch a transcription error here than after sending funds.

  5. Wait for registration

    The wallet derives your party ID from the phrase and submits a small topology transaction to Canton. This step is what makes the wallet visible to the network. It takes about ten seconds.

  6. Confirm

    The home screen shows a balance of zero CC and a long string near the top — your party ID. That's your address on Canton. Copy it from here when you want someone to send you assets.
